Music is often an important feature of the ceremony and almost all couples have fun (and test their negotiating and decision making skills) by choosing music for the ceremony. You probably know you can search iTunes for suitable tracks and hear excerpts. But it will be cheaper to buy them on AllofMP3
There are broadly three places where music could be played:
(1) The arrival of your guests - here you would pick something to set the scene and allow your guests to relax and settle into the room - normally 5-10 minutes is plenty for here.
(2) Processional music to announce the arrival of the couple. Some couples, wanting an informal and relaxed ceremony break with tradition and dispense with this by arriving with their guests.
(3) After the pronouncement of you as partners and closing the ceremony, if you’re having a partnership registration, you could have something playing whilst you sign the register.
Some couples have a friend or family member who wants to perform at the ceremony and this can sometimes take the place of a reading or poem.
