We have a loose structure which we have found works well, and can be adapted or altered to suit you. We work closely with you to create a ceremony which really reflects your values as a couple and one which is often a highly moving and beautiful testament to your love and commitment.
In addition to choices about music, you would also be choosing up to three readings. You would also choose and/or write your own vows of commitments.
As each ceremony is unique to the couple concerned, we don’t have one for you to read. However, this is a typical structure:
The beauty of our ceremonies is that you can have absolute freedom over the choice of music and readings. In a Register Office Civil Partnership ceremony this flexibility is likely to be lost as all ‘choices’ have to be approved by the Superintendent Registrar. Religious words and music and some popular music is unlikely to meet with their approval or idea of a dignified and respectable way to celebrate.
The act of creating your own ceremony is an intimate and exposing one. Rather than allowing the traditional, familiar biblical words to wash over you and your guests, you are in effect stepping forward in a much more public forum to air the very personal nature of your own relationship. This makes non-traditional weddings highly. emotionally charged events.
